Pseudomonas putida is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped, saprotrophic soil bacterium. Based on 16S rRNA analysis, P. putida was taxonomically confirmed to be a Pseudomonas species. Faster detection of the causative Microbes and institution of proper therapy would help greatly in preventing septic complications. Recent advances in the field of Molecular Biology, including the amplification of genetic material by the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technologies have led to faster and more reliable microbial detection methods. Results would help in early detection of methionase gene in Pseudomonas Putida. In this work we have identified Methionase gene in Pseudomonas Putida and amplified using Polymerase Chain reaction.
